 – Using Camera Angles –

Hello, my fellow readers!!! today, we are going to get a hint of the world of photography. That being said, let's explore the basics of it such as; Camera Angles.

Let us start with the High Angle shots where "the camera points down at your subject. It usually creates a feeling of inferiority, or “looking down” on your subject." but this may differ depending on how creative the photographer may be used in some occasion for achieving other purposed such as aesthetic.

As said before, the shown picture is inspired with the sole purpose to showcase aesthetic upon the subject.

Now, the Low Angle shot. These types of shots frame "the subject from a low camera height looking up at them. These camera shots most often emphasize power dynamics between characters.". In other words, they are used in order to convey the power level between the presented characters in during a complete film, section, or scene of it.

In this shot, the low angle used to portray the jeep conveys the feeling of power and greatness of the vehicle's attributes.

In the Canted or Dutch Angle shot, "the camera is slanted to one side. With the horizon lines tilted in this way, you can create a sense of disorientation." or even an enhancement in the dramatic feeling of the scene/shot itself.

In this canted angle shot of the jeep, the feeling of disorientation can be perceived as the audience attempts to level their perspective with the same orientation as that of the shot. And with this, it could be said that (in a way) the 4th wall is broken as the audience is 'directly' interacting with the film.

And this will be all for today's blog my fellow readers, I hope you all enjoyed, learned and appreciated my raw pictures. Till next time!!!

Side note - Shown pictures belong to my persona as I am their creator.
