Media Research

Image
Hello! Humans, on today's blog, I am going to address the way in which media tends to showcase its main piece of recognition; their front page/cover. For Post Malone’s album cover ‘Stoney’, there is an overpowering tone of orange on his face. Orange symbolizes   enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation. These factors are possibly what Post Malone inspired to achieve in his musical career which he informed Elderkin of. His tattoos are on display unlike the other images, this is because his tattoos are a large part of his music and character. His clothing is unique, and the patterns catch the audience’s attention. This is to differentiate himself from other artists. This is once again a midshot angle with shadows created on his face, indicating lighting that is more likely to be studio lighting than sunlight as the image has an orange tinge.

Front Page - Final Idea -

Image
Hello everyone, on today's blog, I will show you all what I have planned for my front cover. For it, I had drawn a sketch, which was shown on the previous blog but I have decided to change it. Reason being? I wanted it to be more natural and pleasantly looking with a minimalistic touch based on the magazine Outdoor's Photography.  As you can see, it is very minimalistic and peaceful with a just enough typing on it to make it fit under the basics of how a magazine should look like. For this reason, I planned on having something more natural as my cover page and so I came up with this picture I took while walking down the school. I could not manage to have someone else taking a picture of me doing it, but I hope this is enough.  Why do I like this picture so much? Simple, it is simple, yet contrasting and filled with natural aspects. I also love the juxtaposing bright colors of the flower against the gloomy sky. Because of these aspects, I came up with the decision to use it as

Front Page Sketch

Hello everyone! On today's blog, we are going to showcase this marvelous piece of art that I have denominated as... "skect-acular". This is the guideline I plan to use for basing my magazine's front page as I intend for it to illustrate a picture of my interviewee. I would like for it to have a feeling of relaxation with a good sense of style in a laid-back type of vibe.  As for now... I will keep you all updated as I keep on developing my magazine. I hope you have a good life!

Interview's Questioning

Hello!! Mina-san! (I think that's how you pronounce 'everybody' in Japanese... I think), I hope you all are having a nice sunny day. On today's blog, we are going to discuss or at least go over some of the questions I have planned to ask during my interview; so, let us get it.  1. What is photography for you? 2. When did you start taking pictures? 3. What was the turnout point that led you into fully focusing on pictures? 4. What is your photography-branch focus? 5. Do you have a favorite photo? 6... I plan on creating the rest of the questions through active listening in order to keep an interesting conversation. And that's all for today. I hope to see you all soon!!!

Magazine's Demographics

Image
In this research on Magazine Demographic it was found that 78% of readers are Male and 22% of the readers are Females. This information will be valuable with developing my magazine. Although this information is from 2008 so this could change. MarketingCharts’ own  US Media Audience Demographics  study demonstrates a similar trend. During Spring 2017, 56.1% of adults surveyed said they had read a print edition of a magazine in the previous week, down from 61.7% saying so a couple of years earlier. The report reveals strong discrepancies in print magazine readership by age, with adults ages 65 and older about twice as likely as those ages 18-24 to report having read a print magazine in the past week (73% and 36%, respectively). The print magazine audience tends to be skewing older over time, too. The report’s 2017 data showed that 44.7% of US monthly magazine readers were aged 55 and older, compared to 41.2% in 2015. By comparison, just 29.9% of online adults wh

Destinations for Pictures?

Image
Hello everyone!!! I hope that you all are having a great day, On today's blog, we are going to discuss some of the destinations I have for the pictures I would like to take for my magazine.  So, to begin with, we have a place that you all have already seen in some of my posts; And it is the famous Naples beach located in Florida. As you can see in the following picture (taken by me), the place fits perfectly on my idea of putting a landscape picture of nature and a recognizable place if possible. This place happens to meet both criteria hence the Naples beach is one of the most famous beaches on the east side of Florida, being one of the most beautiful, natural places.  Another destination place I had in mind is Miami's downtown as it is really decorated with tall buildings along with bright lights and people's smiles but most importantly; with places where to take pictures of, whether they are thought-ahead of time, or randomly occurred as the next picture did. I will sto
