Inspiration? Peter McKinnon

 Hello everybody! Today, I am going to tell you a little bit of Peter Mckinnon and the reason for this is because he is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to photography and it is, therefore, one of the reasons I am doing this photography magazine, so, let us start with the basics;

Peter McKinnon (born: October 28, 1985 [age 35]) is a Canadian YouTuber, photographer, filmmaker, and vlogger. He is most known for his filmmaking and photography tutorials mainly using Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Lightroom. 

His 'biography'; Peter McKinnon was born on October 28, 1985, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He joined YouTube on February 15, 2010, and uploaded his first video, a vlog in which he visits the popular Kensington Market district of Toronto, on September 23, 2015. He has uploaded numerous short films and tutorials. He began his "Filmmaker Reacts!" series in 2019.


So, why is this here? 

The reason for this blog's content is to show the different types of media that I am using in order to create my magazine, its content, set up, and visuals. Visuals that I have learned and still learn from Peter McKinnon's videos/blogs hence he dives into video, and photo's creation. That being one of the overall topics I plan to focus on, I get ideas from his work because he shares his experiences through blogs focusing not just on the composition of the piece he happens to be showing, but also on the visual's background.

Magazine's Demographics

                          In this research on Magazine Demographic it was found that 78% of readers are Male and 22% of the readers are Females. This information will be valuable with developing my magazine. Although this information is from 2008 so this could change. MarketingCharts’ own  US Media Audience Demographics  study demonstrates a similar trend. During Spring 2017, 56.1% of adults surveyed said they had read a print edition of a magazine in the previous week, down from 61.7% saying so a couple of years earlier. The report reveals strong discrepancies in print magazine readership by age, with adults ages 65 and older about twice as likely as those ages 18-24 to report having read a print magazine in the past week (73% and 36%, respectively). The print magazine audience tends to be skewing older over time, too. The report’s 2017 data showed that 44.7% of US monthly magazine readers were aged 55 and older, compared to 41.2% in 2015.
