Contributors??? Ladies and gentlemen... we need them, and I will get them, or it. These past days, I started asking some of my favorite photographers about the idea of contributing to me by allowing my persona to use one of their pictures as part of a featured visual and or even story (if they are willing to answer some of my questions) as part of the content within my magazine which is conceptualized on sharing people's, or my own, pictures along with the stories behind it. Its composition. Or even tips that the photographer might want to share. The ending goal is to convey entertainment based on showing pictures and telling stories with it. 

So, as said before, I plan on having a major feature in my magazine. I obviously want it to be something achievable and easy to make but just imagine. Like, just picture it, someone like Lizzie Peirce, Peter Mckinnon, or even (my favorite one) Kai Hornung. Like. Would you imagine having Kai Hornung featured in my magazine!!!???? Yes? nice, because I CAN'T! Like, he is LITERALLY, the winner of the International Landscape Photograph of the Year 2020. 

Besides the point, as said, Kai is my favorite one out of the 3 mentioned because of his wide focus on landscapes, which is one of my favorite (if not, my favorite) branch of photography. It is for that same reason that yesterday, I decided to contact him through his Instagram's DM because, regardless of his achievements, he is still very humble and not so famous. So I decided to shoot my shot...


Now, I will just have to do some rituals, maybe some conjurings and... I hope I get him to help me.

Magazine's Demographics

                          In this research on Magazine Demographic it was found that 78% of readers are Male and 22% of the readers are Females. This information will be valuable with developing my magazine. Although this information is from 2008 so this could change. MarketingCharts’ own  US Media Audience Demographics  study demonstrates a similar trend. During Spring 2017, 56.1% of adults surveyed said they had read a print edition of a magazine in the previous week, down from 61.7% saying so a couple of years earlier. The report reveals strong discrepancies in print magazine readership by age, with adults ages 65 and older about twice as likely as those ages 18-24 to report having read a print magazine in the past week (73% and 36%, respectively). The print magazine audience tends to be skewing older over time, too. The report’s 2017 data showed that 44.7% of US monthly magazine readers were aged 55 and older, compared to 41.2% in 2015. Hi, this is me, (again) Jonathan on the other side of your screen. Today, I am going to go over a little research on some of the different genres of magazines there is. How many magazines do you know? Usually, many will mention the most common ones, while, others will be believing they’re giving a magazine name when it could be a newspaper brand name instead. Me, for instance, did not know any names of any sort of magazine! Being able to analyze my magazine “Popular Science” helps me understand what a magazine really is. It let me explore the similarities and differences one magazine brand could have throughout the years and how they capture people's attention which the little details, pictures, and information they add to it.
